🌌 “Fractured Atmospheres” is a collection of 50 atmospheric and experimental presets for Xfer Serum 2, made for producers who want emotional, evolving, and dark sounds with character.
The soundset moves between soft and pleasant atmospheres and noisy, unstable, and abstract tones, making it suitable for both musical ideas and sound design.
📦 The bank of presets includes: 12 Pads, 12 Strings, 14 Textures, and 12 Drones.

💎 The soundset is built around contrast and imperfection, drawing inspiration from natural phenomena, mental states, and inner anomalies.
Pads and strings blend smooth, emotional, and airy tones with subtle noise, creating fragile, lo-fi, and cinematic atmospheres, while textures and drones move into darker, noisier, and more atonal territory.
Shaped by slow or fast, evolving modulation, the presets feel expressive and alive, working as musical layers, background ambiences, or standalone soundscapes.
🕹 Every preset is designed to respond naturally to playing and automation. Modulation is used throughout the soundset, with velocity sensitivity and ModWheel assignments controlling brightness, noise amount, tonal movement, and modulation depth, helping the sounds stay dynamic, responsive, and easy to shape.
🎛 Each patch includes 8 Macros that give you direct control over tone, stereo width, modulation depth and speed, noise level, distortion, detuning, space, and effects balance. They can be automated in your DAW or controlled via a MIDI controller, allowing quick and intuitive sound shaping.
🎼 The sounds work well for ambient and dark ambient music, cinematic and soundtrack projects, experimental, IDM, industrial, and abstract styles. It is also suitable for films, games, trailers, visual art, and other atmospheric media where mood and emotion are important.
Installation: Open the Serum menu and click "Show Serum Presets Folder." You will see folders containing different Serum content. Open the "Presets" folder and place the new bank (folder) of presets there.
