Soma Pulsar-23 - Résonance Concrète (50 Patches by Anton Anru)

🎛 Welcome to the soundset for the semi-modular synthesizer Soma Pulsar-23: Résonance Concrète.

It is a collection of 50 patches + midi patterns that include basses, drums/percussion, plucks, textures, and FXs.

🦠 Pulsar‑23 is a very unusual synthesizer, and although it is geared toward percussive timbres, it invites experimentation to go beyond "normal" sounds and create something completely different—even if it seems strange at first glance.

In this collection, I strive to find a balance between intelligible sound and experimental character, so that it’s neither too simple/boring on one hand, nor a chaotic mess on the other.

📙 The soundset is presented as a PDF patchbook with visual patch diagrams.

Each page contains notes explaining how the patch works, which parameters are worth tweaking during playback, and how to develop the timbre during a performance. By making these settings consciously and trying the things mentioned in the notes, you will learn a lot about the synth and discover its true depth.

🎧 There are audio examples of all patches inside the folder with the soundset.

💾 As a bonus to the collection, I’ve added 24‑bit/44.1 kHz WAV recordings of individual tracks: BD, BASS, SD, HHT, DLY, and REV. Feel free to slice them for one‑shots or loops, or mix instruments/tracks from different patches. They serve as excellent material for further editing and processing.

🎼 The soundset contains MIDI clips for each preset. One MIDI clip contains the percussion pattern for BD, SD, and HHT. The second clip contains the notes for BASS. You can use the clips as they are, or freely experiment with them—modifying, complicating, or extending them. In the name of the MIDI clip, you will see a number—this is the BPM that was used when creating the patch.
